1. There are no good and bad foods for weight loss. There are only more or less nutritious foods. You can lose weight if you are in a caloric deficit regardless of what you eat
2. You need to do IF for weight loss. No, you don’t. You can lose weight even if you eat after 8 PM, again caloric deficit matters. IF can help but it’s not the reason why you are losing weight while fasting, it’s because you are NOT eating.
3. You need to cut food groups to lose weight. No you don’t.
4. You can compensate in the gym for what you have binged on. No you can’t. Don’t rely on the gym for weight loss. Rely on being active in general
5. You can target fat loss. Not really
6. You can lose weight fast and keep it off. If you are super disciplined yes, but in general quick fat loss means very restrictive diet which is not sustainable for most people
7. You can introduce your favourite foods in your diet once you lost the weight. No, you need to learn how to eat your favourite foods in moderation while you are losing the weight
8. People who eat healthy are actually dieting. No, not really. Some people enjoy healthy meals without wanting to lose weight
9. Emotional and Binge eating is due to lack of self control. No, it’s most likely due to physical and mental restrictions with food and incapacity to regulate your own emotions
