Nighttime binge eating, also known as nighttime eating syndrome (NES), is a disorder characterized by recurrent episodes of excessive food consumption during the evening and nighttime hours, often accompanied by a feeling of loss of control overeating. This behavior typically occurs after dinner, and individuals with NES may consume large amounts of high-calorie, often unhealthy foods during these episodes.
